Workshop presentation

In Europe, the debate on open-field dissemination of GMOs (for testing or cash crops) is the subject of a major controversy. What we can observe is that there is no real debate between the GMO "pros" and "cons": the parties are not talking about the same thing or, more precisely, they are talking about the same thing but what it means is radically different for each side.

It seems to us that at the moment it is more important to get greater depth of understanding in this difference of approach than in the GMO issue itself.
