Subscribe to the Web site (RSS)
What is RSS?
An RSS feed, also called RSS syndication or RSS channel, is a link to a file including the latest updates on a Web site. All you need to do is enter the RSS link address (URL) into software called an “RSS reader” or “aggregator”.
The aggregator reads the file and indicates the latest updates on the Web site, with a summary of the content of the new articles and links to them.
What is it for?
As soon as there is new content on the Web site, your computer tells you. So, rather than connecting regularly to a given Web site, you can get the latest titles when new content is published. If one of the titles catches your attention, all you have to do is click on it to go directly to the corresponding article.
How does it work?
There are two ways to read RSS feed:
1 - Download an “RSS reader”, or “aggregator”.
You first have to download “RSS reader” software, which then allows you to get the titles from the Web sites you will have selected.
There are many versions of this software. Following is a non-exhaustive list of freeware that we can recommend:
Once the programme is installed on your computer, come back to this page, copy one of the links displayed below and paste it in your RSS reader software.
2 - With the Web browser Firefox
Download and install the Web browser Firefox (PC, Mac or Linux).
After you have installed it, call up the China-Europa Forum home page. An orange icon will appear in the window, above, at the right of the Web page address (URL) field. Click on it and choose the feed called “Subscribe to ‘CHINA-EUROPA FORUM’” in the drop-down menu. The titles of the latest articles and news items will now appear automatically in your Bookmarks menu or bar without your having to connect to the Web site.
