Workshop presentation
The workshop was ceated by Prof. Dr. Christoph Stückelberger from Globethics.net Geneva and Mrs. Zhao Rong, Executive Vice President & Secretary General of The Association of Promotion for Guangdong Economy & Investment. The main topics of our workshop is on the need to improve ethical behaviour of business organizations. Thus, the role and the responsibility of CEO’s and executives are at the core of the debate of our workgroup. The training of young professionals on new ethical standards imposes as an obvious development, as a necessary step in the challenging time that business organizations and society face today. The questions addressed with respect to the survival of the company1 in time of crisis and its reputation2, or those concerning the legal frame for the ethical behaviour3 and the role of global ethics in reaching a balance between globally-open market and local market4, as well as the understanding of responsibilities, will be analyzed from both, Chinese and European perspective..

2 - How to maintain and improve the reputation of the company by technical and ethical standards? (under three

4 - How to find a balance of benefits between globally-open market and local market? What’s the role of global ethics for this balance? (under three aspects: environment, responsibiity of CEO, and responsibility of young professionals)
5 - What’s the understanding of responsibilities from Chinese and European perspectives? (under three aspects: environment, responsibiity of CEO, and responsibility of young professionals)

Workshop’s news
Workgroup Method In order to prepare the workshop in Guangdong, the 6 Chinese and 6 European participants share documents and reflections during three debate sessions on the platform of the workgroup :
First session: 20 Feb-13 March : Themes 1 and 2 Moderated by Prof.Dr.Ch. Stückelberger/ Nicoleta Acatrinei
Second session : 19 April-8 May : Themes 3 and 4 Moderated by Ms Zhou/Long Jin
Third session : 7 th June- 26 June: Theme 5 Moderated by: Long Jin/Nicoleta Acatrinei(or other participants if interest).
Each session is launched by Moderators on the platform of the workgroup. Globethics.net Foundation hosts the platform of the group on www.globethics.net . There are three workgroup-sections:
1. Documents section – the moderators and the participants (via the moderators) post documents to be consulted by all the participants of the workgroup.
2. Forum Section – this section concerns online discussions during the three sessions debate
3. Wiki section – if the group agree to publish some final documents after each session debate, these documents are posted in this section
