EUROPEAN PREPARATORY MEETING FOR THE THIRD BIENNIAL OF THE CHINA IN MADRID – Workshops Migrants and Migrations
Education of migrants’ children and its role in integration (T14g) - Community of rural migrant workers (T23a)
The meeting will be held in Madrid, on the 29 and 30 January 2010. It will be co-organised by CEPAIM in partnership with EAPN Spain and the European office of the China-Europa Forum. This is a preparatory meeting gathering the Europeans participants in the frame of two workshops on education of migrant’s children and on community of rural migrant worker. The Madrid meeting will gather during two days fourteen participants from 6 European countries: France, Hungary, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
The participants of this meeting are professionals working closely with migrants. The main guidelines of the discussion came out from the Paris meeting : The migrant’s situation in Europe, Mobilisation of the main actors in the European societies in favour of the migrants, Mutual acceptance of the migrants and the hosting populations, “Migrants’ participation methodology”.
For the European participants and the partners of the event, the aim of this meeting is to give the opportunity to the participants to get to know each others in order to built up a working group, to determine on the European side the main guidelines for the discussion in the perspective of the dialogue with the Chinese partners of the workshop, and finally to define the organization of the work for the next months.
